Looks like my week is getting better.
Dear Josh, Congratulations! On behalf of the Admissions Committee at Fuller Theological Seminary it is my pleasure to inform you that you have been accepted in the MA in Crosscultural Studies program in the School of Intercultural Studies beginning with the [...] Shall I start a list? (yes, I can vent here as it's my blog!) 1) The basement flooded – TWICE! 2) We failed the electrical inspection 3) The half-bath with TWO outlets MUST have it's own dedicated 20 amp circuit (a huge thanks to all the gals out there with hairdryers and curling irons!) [...] If you have not heard NPR’s news quiz show “Wait Wait… Don't Tell Me!”, you are missing out! This show is hilarious and, slightly, informative. The basic premise of the show is this: quiz folks on various odd news items from the past week. The result is a ton of laughter [...] We finally got tired of stacks of papers everywhere… the solution: a new filing cabinet. Know that was crazy? This wood one was only $30 higher they your standard 'cheap' filing cabinets… nuts! exspeicaly when the 'cheap' cabinets were not cheap by any means.. crazy… [...] I have been running electrical wires the past few weekends… trying to get the basement in shape for use this Christmas. I believe I'm on track to do so… Last weekend, we cleaned out the basement – removing all the construction debris and mopping the backrooms (thanks Em!!). The result was amazing – [...] I just realized that I never posted pictures of newly installed basement windows oops… To make up for it, I have posted the completed windows along with the beninging pics. North facing window in the "new" bedroom [@more@] South facing window in the main game [...] Our well water has been giving us problems since we first moved in… bad tasting water, horrible smells, and iron deposits in the toilets, tubs…etc. Since our water tasted so bad, we have been hauling in drinking water from a near by spring – which kind of worked. Looking long term, we decided [...] Imagine walking a long and seeing this item lying near a garbage can.
Would you pick it up? I wouldn't. I would just walk on by – probably shaking my head at the things people paint. And I would of walk right past a $1,049,000 painting. Yelp, your [...] Ok – for those of you who have never been to Manila (Philippines), it is a very, very polluted city – in fact, there are NO birds in the city because they all died of air poison. To hear that someone is starting to make electric-powered jeepneys – it's amazing!!! [...] We had a pig roast / wild game party at church this weekend. It was huge success with about 150 people showing up to eat, fellowship, play board games, and listen to some live bluegrass music. Needless to say – it was a fun time.
